BROOKLYN, NY --- Both the Men's and Women's Basketball teams will be in action in Staten Island, NY as they open up the 2009 calendar year with a doubleheader at Wagner College. The Women will tip off at 4:00 PM and the Men's game will begin at 7:00 PM.
In the first game of the doubleheader the Terriers will look to snap a three-game losing streak as they match-up with the Seahawks (4-7; 0-1 NEC) who are coming off two previous defeats at the Big Sky Classic in New Hampshire

Leading the Terriers this season is senior guard Kara Ayers
(Absegami, NJ) averaging 18.3 ppg, and is second in conference scoring. Leading the Seahawks is junior guard Andrea Reed averaging 15.0 ppg.
In the second game on the doubleheader the Terriers will look to snap their own four game losing streak as they match-up with the Seahawks ( 7-4, 0-1 NEC) who are coming off a defeat to Kansas State.
The Terriers lead the Seahawks 42-36 in the overall series match-up. The Seahawks defeated the Terriers last season 64-59 at the Spiro Center. The last time St. Francis won was in 06-07; 66-51.
Leading the Terriers this season is junior forward Kayode Ayeni
(Brooklyn, NY) averaging 13.3 ppg. Ayeni has missed the past two games with a lower body injury and will look to suit up in the next few days. Leading the Seahawks is guard Joey Mundweiler averaging 13.8 ppg.
Both games will be broadcasted on the Terrier Sports Network with the women's pre-game beginning at 3:50 PM and the men's pre-game beginning at 6:40 PM or twenty minutes before tip-off depending on the length of the women's contest. Nick Guerriero will have the call of both contests with Brian Morales joining as the color commentator.
