MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PLACE 10TH IN METROPOLITAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

BRONX, NEW YORK--- The St. Francis College men’s cross country squad had another stellar performance at the Metropolitan Championships, which were held in Van Cortlandt Park, as the Terriers finished the event in 10th place, scoring 305 points. Columbia University took team honors while Nick Miehe of Rutgers University took home individual honors.
Paving the way for the Terriers was freshman Paul Gilhuley (Brooklyn, NY/Bishop Ford High School), who was named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week for September 29th, who finished in 53rd place with a time 28:18. His twin brother, Joseph Gilhuley (Brooklyn, NY/Bishop Ford High School) finished the event in three seconds behind his brother, finishing with a time of 28:21.
Other notable scores for St. Francis included sophomore Rafael Ksepka (Queens, NY/Grover Cleveland High School), who finished the event in 64th place with a time of 29:10, junior Thomas McKernan (Staten Island, NY/Xaverian High School) finished with a time of 29:13 and in 66th.
The Terriers are gearing up for the 43rd Annual UAlbany Cross Country Invitational, which will feature 21 men’s and women’s team in attendance, on October 17th.
