RESULTS
Emmitsburg, Maryland---The St. Francis College women’s swimming team traveled to Emmitsburg, Maryland to partake in a tri-match with Northeast Conference member Mount St. Mary’s and MAAC member Loyola (MD). St. Francis fell 90-28 to the Mount and 81-39 against Loyola.
Senior Sonya Jaggernaught set a new record at the Mount St. Mary’s pool as she finished first in the 50 SC Meter Freestyle with a final time of 27.58. This is the second time that Jaggernaught has broke a new pool record in an opposing pool, the first coming at Canisius last season. The native of Port of Spain, Trinidad also came in second in the 200 SC Meter IM posting a time of 2:43.39.
The 400 SC Meter Freestyle Relay team, composed of Hinkly, Dolnay, Jaggernaught and Paige Hardy finished the race in second place with a finals time of 4:35.09. Other notable finishes from the Tri-Meet include:
2nd place- Andrea Dolnay, 400 SC Meter Freestyle, 4:47.69
3rd place- 200 SC Meter Medley Relay (Dorota Lewandowski, Brandy Creek, Jemma Hinkly and Paige Hardy
3rd place- Brandy Creek, 200 SC Meter Breaststroke, 3:04.44
3rd place- Jemma Hinkly, 100 SC Meter Butterfly, 1:13.40
The Terriers are back in the pool with a swim at Manhattan on November 21st, 2009, at 2:00 pm.
