TERRIERS SET TO OPEN 2009 SLATE AGAINST DREXEL TODAY AT 2:00 PM

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NEW YORK---The St. Francis College men’s tennis squad gears up to open the 2009 season as they travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to take on the Drexel Dragons at the Vidas Athletic Complex at 2:00 pm.
Head Coach Chad Davis and the Terriers will start anew as the program is looking to build upon the success on a seven win season and a second round appearance in the Northeast Conference Tournament. Last season proved to be an exciting one for the men’s team, in which one player in particular, Jindrich Chaloupka, became the first player in St. Francis history to attain first team All-Conference status when he was named the NEC Player of the Year after closing out 2008-09 with a 15-3 record at # 1 flight singles, including a perfect 7-0 mark in league play.
Returning for the Terriers are seniors Atiba Fraser and Darrius Marcellin, along with a sophomore trio of Daniel Gonzalez, Danlahdi Robinson and James Brennan Tsang. New to the fold this season is sophomore Rafael Angobaldo and complimenting him are freshmen Tita Mba and Alex Tokarz.
