WOMEN'S SWIMMING TEAM PICK UP TWO KEY VICTORIES ON SENIOR NIGHT!

Brooklyn Heights, NY---The St. Francis College women’s swim team earned the two victories after defeating the St. Peter’s College Peacocks (50 – 45) and the NJIT Highlanders (75 – 20) on Senior Day. With the victories the Terriers improve to 4 –7 on the season.
The Terriers opened the night with a win in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 2:01.53. The team consisted of junior Dorota Lewandowski (Grover Cleveland HS, Queens NY), senior Brandy Creek (Venture College, Venture, CA), junior Jemma Hinkly (Montreal, Canada / Alexander W. Dreyfoos Jr. School of Arts) and freshman Paige Hardy (Aliso Viejo, CA).
Senior Lianna Fotia (Nepean, Ontario, Canada / St. Paul HS) continued the scoring by swimming to a second place finish in the 1000 Free with a time of 12:45.37. Senior Sonya Jaggernaught was the team leader with three wins on the night.
The Terrier senior scored a first-place in the 50 freestyle with her time of 24.46 and in the 100 freestyle with a time of 56.20. Senior captain Brandy Creek earned her second victory of the night in the 100 breast with a time of 1:16.27.
The night was capped off with a Terrier victory in the 200 free relay. Sophomore Andrea Donlnay (Budapest, Hungray / St. Margaret HS), Lewandowski, Fotia & Jaggernaught (1:51.25) were members of the realy.
The Terriers return to competition on February 2, 2009 against Fordham University.
