WOMEN'S SWIMMING TEAM PICK UP TWO KEY VICTORIES ON SENIOR NIGHT!

Brooklyn Heights, NY---
The St. Francis College women’s swim team earned the two victories after defeating the St. Peter’s College Peacocks (50 – 45) and the NJIT Highlanders (75 – 20) on Senior Day. With the victories the Terriers improve to 4 –7 on the season.

The Terriers opened the night with a win in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 2:01.53. The team consisted of junior
Dorota Lewandowski (Grover Cleveland HS, Queens NY), senior Brandy Creek (Venture College, Venture, CA), junior Jemma Hinkly (Montreal, Canada / Alexander W. Dreyfoos Jr. School of Arts) and freshman Paige Hardy (Aliso Viejo, CA).

Senior Lianna Fotia (Nepean, Ontario, Canada / St. Paul HS) continued the scoring by swimming to a second place finish in the 1000 Free with a time of 12:45.37.  Senior Sonya Jaggernaught was the team leader with three wins on the night.  

The Terrier senior scored a first-place in the 50 freestyle with her time of 24.46 and in the 100 freestyle with a time of 56.20. Senior captain Brandy Creek earned her second victory of the night in the 100 breast with a time of 1:16.27.       

The night was capped off with a Terrier victory in the 200 free relay.  Sophomore Andrea Donlnay (Budapest, Hungray / St. Margaret HS), Lewandowski, Fotia & Jaggernaught (1:51.25) were members of the realy.
 
The Terriers return to competition on February 2, 2009 against Fordham University.

Athletes of the Week
Anisa Lila
Volleyball
Lila becomes the first Terrier volleyball player to win an NEC weekly honor since the 2000 season. She was able to record 65 kills and 51 digs as the Terriers went 2-2 at its own Terrier Invitational this past weekend.
