BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NEW YORK---Freshman
Kristina Terpo (Brooklyn, NY, Sheepshead Bay) was named
Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference this afternoon.
Terpo, a two-time NEC Rookie of the Week winner, is enjoying a remarkable freshman campaign.
Helping St. Francis continue what has been that best start in program history, the native of Brooklyn, New York posted a 19.69 frame average at last weekend’s Lady Bulldogs Classic, hosted by Bowie State, where the Terriers won seven of nine matches.
Terpo was astounding during the Terriers’ five traditional games, recording the highest average (209.6) of any Northeast Conference bowler at the meet. Riding an incredible hot streak from the beginning,
Terpo tallied a 226 in the team’s opening win over Penn State-Altoona before again eclipsing the 200-pin mark on three successive occasions.
Leaving only nine opens during the entire tournament, the former Sheepshead Bay Shark accounted for 88.2 filled frame percentage en route to being named to the Lady Bulldog Classic All-Tournament team.
