LORETTO, PENNSYLVANIA---
The Lady Terriers were unsuccessful against their Pennsylvania counterparts, the St. Francis University Red Flash, by a 73-38 score at DeGol Arena on Thursday evening.  With the loss, the Terriers fell to 1-19 overall and 0-9 in the Northeast Conference while the Red Flash improved their record to 8-11 overall and 5-4 in conference play. 
 
Both teams struggled to find scoring opportunities in the opening moments of the game.  The Red Flash took a 6-2 lead at the 16:43 mark before the Terriers answered back on a long-range three pointer from junior Kayla Williams, cutting the Red Flash lead to 6-5. 
 
The Terriers kept the contest close, trailing 15-14 with 8:51 after Shannon Gantt converted on a lay-up opportunity.  The Red Flash regained their composure, stretching their lead to 17 behind a 16-0 run while holding the Terriers without a field goal for five minutes.  St. Francis (PA) took a 41-19 lead into intermission. 
 
In the second half, the Red Flash kept applying tremendous ball-pressure and executed a stifling 2-2-1 press to secure the victory.  Three Flash players finished in double digits, with Samantha Leach finishing with a game high 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field in 27 minutes of action.  Allison Daly recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds to go along with four steals.  Britney Hodges also added 13 points in 24 minutes of play. 
 
Shannon Gantt sparked the Terriers offense this evening, finishing the game with 13 points in 17 minutes of play.  Autumn Lau chipped in seven points and nine rebounds.  The Red Flash out-muscled the Terriers in the rebounding department by a 41-34 advantage. 
 
The Terriers will be back in action this Saturday afternoon as they square off against the Robert Morris Colonials in Moon Township from the Sewall Center.
