READING, PENNSYLVANIA---The 10th-ranked St. Francis College women's bowling team (44-26) concluded action on Sunday at the Kutztown University Golden Bear Invitational with a 1-3 record for the day, and a 12th place finish among the 28 teams in the competition. The tournament was contested at AMF Hiester Lanes in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Terrier senior Alexandra Stein's traditional game average of 214.7 in six games on Saturday earned her a place on the All-Tournament Team, as she ranked seventh of more than 150 bowlers participating at the tournament.

The Terriers began Sunday with a victory in their first quad Baker format match. For all practical purposes, the match was decided in the first game, won by St. Francis 199-136. A 189-155 win in game two extended the Terrier lead to 97 pins and despite a 15-pin loss in game three, the match outcome was never in doubt.

A slow start, losing game one 170-142, put the Terriers in a deficit, which grew to 57 pins after Wisconsin-Whitewater shot a 218 in the second game to the Terriers' 189. While St. Francis cut the margin to 20 pins with a 182-145 win in the third game, they could only watch as their rivals closed out game four with a string of strikes to turn in a 236 game while the Terriers scored a solid 191.
Vanderbilt 4, St. Francis 0
The first of two best-of-seven Baker matches saw the Terriers pitted against the nation's top-ranked team. The Commodores averaged over 200 in the four games and won every game by 20-30 pins.
Adelphi 4, St. Francis 1
The seventh-ranked Panthers were another hot opponent faced by the Terriers on Sunday, as their lowest game in the five-game match was a 187 in game three, when the Terriers broke through with a 209 for their lone game win. The match began with a 218-145 Adelphi win and concluded with a 222-161 verdict.
After not competing next weekend, the Terriers will return to action in the second Northeast Conference weekend of the season on February 13-14, hosted by Adelphi University in Mineola, New York. With a 5-2 record in the Northeast Conference, St. Francis stands in a four-way tie for first place with Adelphi, Kutztown, and New Jersey City University. The combined conference records earned in the two in-season weekends will determine the seedings for the Second Annual Northeast Conference Women's Bowling Championship, which will be contested on March 20-21 in Elmwood Park, New Jersey.
