BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NEW YORK---With just two games remaining in the 2009-10 regular season, the Terriers will look to end the year on a positive note, starting tonight as they square off against the Bryant Bulldogs.
Head-to-Head Series: These two teams are squaring off for only the fourth time in school’s history. Bryant took the previous three meetings, including the opening game 55-41 in December in Smithfield, Rhode Island.
Last Time Out: The Terriers fell to the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights, 65-44, on Saturday afternoon. Freshman Autumn Lau paved the way for the Terriers with 19 point which included four three-pointers. The Knights Maryiah Laury led all scorers with 20 points. Alyssa Mayrose chipped in 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting while Jenna Strich contributed 15 points and a team-high six rebounds in the victory.
Scouting the Bulldogs: The Bryant Bulldogs are transitioning from Division II (Northeast-10) to the Northeast Conference. They are currently standing in fifth place, standing at 9-7 in NEC play and 12-15 overall. They look to bounce back after falling to the Mount St. Mary Mountaineers 56-51 in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Senior Kelsey O’Keefe leads the team in scoring (15.3 ppg) and in rebounding at 6.5 boards a contest. Kristin Mraz averages 4.0 assists a contest. Overall, the team is shooting 37.4% from the field and 34.5% from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs have connected on 69% from the charity stripe this season.
