BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NEW YORK---St. Francis (NY) women’s basketball coach Brenda Milano announced that guard Jasmin Robinson (Brooklyn, New York/Medgar Evers Preparatory School) has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Terriers in 2010-11.

“It’s very difficult to find a true point guard, someone who is confident enough to be able to run the show but Jasmin made a strong impression to us,” Milano said.  “We’re hoping she can take the ball the next four years and run with it.”

A versatile speedster on the court, Robinson averaged 15.0 points per game in her four years as a member of the Rams while pulling down 3.3 rebounds and dishing out 5.5 assists.  The Brooklyn native helped lead Medgar Evers to a perfect 14-0 season that included the 2009-10 PSAL A Division Championship after scoring a game high 13 points en route to a 54-32 victory against Wings Academy.

Robinson, who intends to major in Business, has an overall average of 86 and has taken challenging courses like AP Physics and Chinese while scoring high on her SAT to go along with her tremendous ability on the court.

Robinson will be the second player from Brooklyn and the PSAL to play for the Terriers under coach Milano’s watch.  Justine Paxhia ’06 came to St. Francis College from James Madison High School.
