JASMIN ROBINSON NAMED TO NEW YORK POST ALL-BROOKLYN SECOND TEAM SQUAD

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NEW YORK---Incoming freshman Jasmin Robinson (Brooklyn, New York/Medgar Evers Preparatory School) was named to the New York Post All-Brooklyn Second Team this morning.

Robinson, who signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Terriers in 2010-11 last week, helped lead Medgar Evers to a perfect 14-0 season that included the 2009-10 PSAL A Division Championship, which was played at the Pope Physical Education Center, after scoring a game-high 13 points in a 54-32 victory against Wings Academy.

St. Francis head coach Brenda Milano has high hopes for the incoming freshman, who made a strong impression on the coaching staff. “We’re hoping she (Jasmin) can take the ball the next four years and run with it.”

A speedster and intelligent ball player, Robinson averaged 15.0 points per game in her four years as a member of the Rams while pulling down 3.3 rebounds and dishing out 5.5 assists. She intends to major in Business, had an overall average of 86 and has taken challenging courses like AP Physics and Chinese while scoring high on her SAT’s.
