BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NEW YORK--- After posting back-to-back double digit win totals and appearing in their first Northeast Conference tournament in nearly ten years, St. Francis men’s head coach Tom Giovatto announced his 2010 fall schedule on Friday afternoon.  The slate includes a nine game road trip to start the season with four contests coming against teams the Terriers took on last season.   “We feel like we have a lot of momentum coming off our spring season,” offered head coach Tom Giovatto.  “We are looking to move forward as a program as we face strong competition once the season starts.”

The Terriers will open up the 2010 campaign against Big East powerhouse, Connecticut, on September 1st at 7:00 pm from Storrs, Connecticut.  The last time the Terriers took on the Huskies was back in the 1998 season, with UCONN taking a 2-0 victory.  The Terriers will head up the New York State Thruway to Albany as they take on the Great Danes on September 4th.

The defending Jay Sculley Memorial Tournament champions will defend their crown as they head back to Lexington, Virginia to square off against host VMI (September 10th) and Liberty on September 12th.  The Terriers evened out their record last season after capturing the inaugural crown.  St. Francis heads back up the east coast as they make pit-stops in the Garden State, as they take on NJIT (Sept. 16) and Rider (Sept.18).  They conclude their non-conference schedule against Fairfield in Connecticut on September 22nd.

October rolls in with Northeast Conference action as St. Francis travels to Fairleigh Dickinson on the first and wraps up the long road voyage against Sacred Heart on October 3rd.   The first home game of the season, October 8th, welcomes Bryant University for a 5:00 pm kick-off.  The Terriers hold a two-game win streak against the future 12th member of the NEC.  St. Francis remains home for two contests, Mount St. Mary’s on October 15th and defending NEC Champions, Monmouth on October 17th.

This year’s Western Pennsylvania trip will begin on October 22nd in Moon Township, as the Terriers square off against Robert Morris and conclude against St. Francis (PA) on October 24th.  The final two home contest bring in teams from the Nutmeg State as Quinnipiac (October 29th) and Central Connecticut (October 31st) pay a visit to Brooklyn.  The Terriers wrap up the season on November 5th with a 0.7 mile walk to Long Island University for a 3:00 pm match-up.
