BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NEW YORK--- St. Francis College (NY) head women’s basketball coach Brenda Milano has finalized her 2010-11 roster with the addition of Ozana Marginean (pronounced Oh-zan-a Mar-gin-in) who signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Terriers this season.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Ozana to our program,” Milano said. “In addition to Jasmin (Robinson), Kiley (Grabbe), and Emily (Siegart), Ozana brings a winning attitude to St. Francis as we continue to grow as a program.”
Marginean is a native of Brasov, Romania, where she helped her U-20 team win a National Championship in 2007-08 and in 2006-07 season, her team was the ICIM Arad National Vice Champions and finished in 3rd place for the European Championship in Division B.
Her best performance to date while a member of BC Galactica Brasov was when she scored eighteen points, grabbed four rebounds, dished out eight assists and swiped three steals against Olimpi Bucharest.
Marginean is the fourth player from overseas that Coach Milano has on her 2010-11 roster, joining senior Barbora Galandakova (Czech Republic), junior Vitalija Vascuinaite (Lithuania) and sophomore forward Kim Snauwaert (Belgium).
